Tribute
to Professor Charles Ssali
from Dr. Sam Asomugha (Lagos Nigeria)
I bring you
all warm greetings from my family, and the consistently growing
team of enthusiastic Mariandina distributors in Nigeria. I count
it an honour and indeed a privilege to ask to send in a word on
an occasion such as we are having today; When we have gathered to
commemorate the life and works of a world distinguished scientist,
the inventor of the incredible Mariandina Nutritional Herbal Products,
Professor Charles Nwangili Ssali. I may not be there with you physically,
but I want you to know that from the beginning of this programme
to the end of it I am there with you in spirit. My absence is only
due to circumstances beyond my control. GOD, THE DIVINE CREATOR
I use this opportunity to appreciate before you great audience,
Our God Almighty, the Divine Creator, the possessor of all wisdom,
and the originator of all that is good, for choosing our African
brother and father, in the person of Professor Charles Ssali to
be endowed with the knowledge and faith that saw the successful
development of the Mariandina range of products. When the bible
says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the father of light---" It is clearly borne
out in the life of Professor Ssali and in the benefits of Mariandina.
Please join me to say "Thank you Lord for giving us a man like
Professor Ssali and the product Mariandina. ENCOUNTER WITH PROFESSOR SSALI
My encounter with Professor Ssali dates back to October 2000. A
reverent gentle man who had been using Mariandina met with me back
here in Nigeria. And upon learning that my medical practice is significantly
titled to the use of Organic and Naturals, began to speak to me
of the new incredible herbal products Mariandina that was making
waves in the UK. And with his encouragement I wasted no time in
getting in touch with Professor Ssali. And from the moment we first
spoke on the telephone, there was no doubt in my mind that I was
speaking with a man of vast scientific knowledge, yet so humble.
Professor Ssali rekindled my personal belief in our African people
by his clear demonstration of a deep love for the dying masses of
Africans.
I have always doubted the so-called grants and aids often offered
by the western world by which, rather unfortunately our African
governments are easily taken in without recourse to the far reaching
and often devastating negative consequence to our people in the
later future. I see in Professor Ssali one African scientist who
will not be beguiled by any bogus aid, especially as far as the
health of our African people is concerned.
After, our initial conversation, Professor Ssali referred me to
the Mariandina website where a lot of hard facts abound, collaborating
my previous belief on the agenda of the western governments towards
the people of Africa. I have always known and believed that the
frontiers of international politics have extended beyond the economy
into the health sector. I hope that the good works of Professor
Ssali will open the eyes of our African leaders to these issues.
When Professor Ssali visited Nigeria early this year (2004), precisely
in February, little did I know that it would be my only opportunity
to meet and share in the knowledge of a world class professional,
an erudite scientist, a dear African, who has demonstrated very
glaringly that Africa has so much to offer. Time will surely proof
this: that the real hope for the future, within the limits of human
endeavor, lies deep in Africa. During that brief visit, Professor
Ssali shared with me some of his deep thoughts, his experiences,
his often tumultuous encounter with western medical scientists,
and a few of his plans for the near future. How I miss the privilege
of seeing these dreams realized. But we must take courage in that
which he has already achieved, knowing that if a few more of us
will make even as much impacts as Professor Ssali did, our generation
of African will begin to take their rightful place in every field
of endeavor.
I salute Professor Ssali , his thoughts beyond the immediate gains,
his courage against the odds of western intimidation, his achievements
not just on Mariandina but in the medical specialty of ear, nose
and throat. Long live to the visions of Professor Ssali. THE MARIANDINA PRODUCT
It is a fact that ever since my medical practice took a tilt towards
Organics and Naturals, I lost a lot of friends in the Profession.
Nevertheless I resolve to pursue what I believe should be the right
attitude to healthcare delivery. Mainstream medicine has its place,
but when one understands that a greater percentage of disease are
not only preventable but reversible through going back to nature,
the choice of nutritional products like Mariandina will be without
practice, of which has seen me prescribing more of nutritional,
I have seen more healing and reversal of the disease conditions
of my patients than in the year of full mainstream practice.
Mariandina is not my first herbal product for me to use, but it
is surely my first of what is African. And, therefore, for me, it
is "Original" (to borrow the language of my local vernacular).
The testimonials we have sent are only a few of what is becoming
commonplace in my little practice. Mariandina is an incredible product,
offering so much help without side effects.
Our resolve to pursue the Mariandina vision will continue in spite
of a few challenges. Nigeria is truly a populous country, and our
joy will be to know that Mariandina has become a household word
against known and emerging disease conditions in my country. The
proof of desire is always pursuit. And so we will pursue until this
vision is realized. The Mariandina products remain incomparable
to its competitors, in its versatility of application and results. CONCLUDING REMARKS
I challenge our African scientists to follow in the footsteps of
Professor Ssali for this will be the one way we can honour him and
make his life and works a memorable one. I wish to thank every one
of you members of the Mariandina Team, especially Christine Kas
and Stephen Ssali for all your support. And to every one who found
time to be here today thank you. God bless you all.
